FAQs

What are premium domains?

Premium domains are like the best real estate in town. Think of them as more like a palace than a cottage. They have greater perceived value in the marketplace. Names that are generic or short or brandable and end in .com command the highest prices. Recently  voice.com sold for $30 million dollars. Just the domain name. wow!

How can I buy one?

Follow the instructions in the How to buy section above. Also, when you select the "I want this!" button next to a domain name, you will see instructions on what to do next. For both your and our security we approve all transactions from our Sydney office, before a sale is made.

Why are these domain names more expensive than ones I can register at a domain name registrar?

These names are more expensive because they are rare, original, mostly aged and have increased in value over time. They also have Premium features (see description of premium domains above)

"To date the most expensive domain sold cost 30 million USD, when voice.com changed hands for this huge amount in 2019. These days investors will often pay six-figure amounts even for country-specific top-level domains. The average price for a .com domain was $3,559 in 2018." -Sedo

What is the Godaddy Value all about?

We have selected the Godaddy Value to give you a market comparison of the perceived value of the domain. These values are derived from sales figures and algorithms used by  the world's most well known Domain Registrar Godaddy and their affiliated sales platforms. Please note that often domains sell for considerably more than the Godaddy estimated value. Value is what the buyer believes the domain name is worth to them.

Why is the Godaddy Value on your site different than the one I just looked up at Godaddy?

We update our prices once a month. Prices may change over time as Godaddy's information changes. We only offer the Godaddy Value price as a comparison to give you some idea of the great prices you get from us by buying our names. Prices are not set in stone.

How long will it take to transfer the domain name to me?

Once we have received your signed domain sale contract we will action a transaction with Escrow.com. You can pay by credit card, wire transfer etc on this payment platform. You can expect to receive your domain name anytime between 1-5 days from start to finish.

How can I be sure I'll receive my domain name?

Our reputation depends on us conducting the transaction with transparency and in good faith. We have been in business over 20 years with no complaints, so I guess you can say we have your interests at heart.

What is your payment service called Escrow.com?

Escrow.com is a highly reputable escrow service company and e-commerce transaction specialist.

As a trustworthy and impartial third party, they can directly facilitate the process by which buyer and seller can transact with each other in perfect confidence.

Basically, it works like this.

1.The buyer pays the purchase price of the domain name + buyer's fee and tax to escrow.com by means of cheque, credit card or wire transfer.

2. As soon as the funds are cleared the seller is notified. The Seller then transfers the domain name to the buyer.

3.Once escrow.com verifies that this has been done, the buyer's funds, less escrow.com's fees, are released to the seller.

All parties have what they want.

The buyer has the domain name. The seller has the payment. And escrow.com has their commission. For those of you in showbiz or real estate, this will seem familiar to you, it's like working through an agent. To view escrow.com's site and learn more about what they do first hand.

We will place your domain name into a private account. We will then send the following information to you:

We are passionate about protecting your privacy too and are legally bound to do so. You and the use of your data are protected by International law, GDPR law, and Australian law. Please refer to our policies to find out more.

How do I make sure I keep my domain name current?

The onus is on you to keep up to date with the registration renewal date of the domain name you purchase. Domain names are licences that need to be renewed for a period of time, usually one year. However, your registrar may offer up to 10 yr renewals.

Can I buy more than one domain name?

You certainly can! Some people have sets of domain names pointing to their master website. Others have multiple websites related to their core business and want a separate domain name for each. There are many ways to use domain names...websites, apps, blogs, courses, membership sites, webinars, events etc. You are only limited by your imagination.

How can I tell people about you ? Are you on social media?

Thanks. We'd love you to spread the word. You can find us on Facebook and Linkedin.
